Writing 3
Writing 3 places writing in a central position in the upper-intermediate language class, presenting it as an activity which contributes to language learning in general. Throughout the book learners area encouraged to use written English imaginatively and creatively to express their own ideas and to communicate with each other in the classroom.
1) Concentrates on writing as a process, with an emphasis on note making, drafting, rewriting, and collaboration between students.
2) Provides open-ended activities to encourage students to share their ideas and opinions through written and spoken interaction.
3) Encourages students to work independently, either as individuals or in groups, and to explore different ways of approaching their writing.
4) Develops different kinds of writing, such as business and personal letters, short stories, poetry, and advertisements.
